Welcome to High Rack Ranch

Nestled in the Heart of East Texas and located just 5 miles west of Alto in Cherokee County, sits an 1100 acre hunting and fishing haven.  The topography of the ranch varies over 300 feet creating large heavily wooded draws and rolling hills.  Most of our visitors are very surprised to find such beauty and elevation in East Texas.

Upon purchasing the ranch, the decision was made to immediately start the construction of a large lake that has quickly become a fisherman’s dream.  The lake was stocked with Northern and Florida strain bass along with crappie, blue catfish, and bream.  The lake is managed yearly by adding forage fish such as Tilapia, Threadfin Shad, and various minnows to maximize the growth of the bass, crappie, and catfish.

In 2006, we initiated a deer breeding operation to improve the genetics of the deer on the property.  Our philosophy then and now is to keep a relatively small herd of the best quality genetics the industry has to offer.

We continue to stock the ranch annually with superior genetics.  To date we have liberated over (40) bred does from our breeder pens.  These does are the base genetics for the present and future hunting operation.
